This is something that can be done in thd easiest of fashions. It can be added to any outfit and is quite easy to make. It can start off as a circle, square, rectangle, or any other shape you want. The crazier the shape the better. Though, so far, i have only tries rectangles and A circle. Yes...A circle. Gonna experiment and try some other shapes...hey, maybe i cam make a bow tie ^_^
My Right Hand Hook :)
It's fun and exciting to learn something new and want to show it off. That's what I am doing. I learned how to crochet on Christmas of 2011 and have been crocheting since.

A bag for the mum ^_^
Since i first learned this craft my mother knew and wanted a piece, a personal piece that was specifically from me to her and i think i delivered. (Im doing this on my phone and my auto correct doesnt capitalize the word 'I')
I made this cute little bag of course with her idea. Looking at it, you could call it a shell because this bag itself cant hold much. Im not an expert at making sturdy bags via crochet.
But this was fun to make...it was all free hand as well ^_^ and id like to thank a lovely lady named Ursula for showing me how to make the straps. Im going to continue to make bags like these and throw my own swag to it. I have a signature that i am trying to impliment as well. So, if you happen to have something made SPECIAL AND SPECIFICALLY from ME TO YOU, look for it.
Yours,
LaQuay

Another hat for Gran
It took some doing but i have officially competed my idea of a hat for my loving grandmother. Considering the fact that i had to re teach myself how to knit and pearl. So this is the first project from that.
I do admit that using two needles is more difficult than using a crochet hook. And doing it the continental way makes it even more confusing. At the same time, i feek the American way is just too time consuming. How do i make that transition though? I learn one way then start adjusting to a different way, guess that's how it goes. It's becoming more and more fun to do every time i complete a project. Coming up....Bag'o'Bows ^_^

Back in Action^_^
Getting backninto the swingnof things. Though i admit its like learning to ride a bike. Once you learn, its kinda hard to unlearn. At this point, #YouTube is my best friend.
Its a calming and serene thing, knitting and crocheting. Its has kept me from smoking, i think quicker, my hand eye coordination is better and so is my mind period. Its soooo much more clear. Who would have thought. And the part that really gets me is the fact that when people see me as engaged, it throws them off. Apparently i look older than i should while i use my hands in this manner...abd honestly i dont care.

Let's BEDAZZLE yawl!!!
Maybe put some jewels on my handmade satchels too...there is no end to the creativity with yarn and a hook.
Simple Bow-Tie/Bow Pattern <======CLICK HERE...I use this pattern as well:-) It's really cool!
A good place to start learning how to crochet would be to go to a Hobby Store or Wal-Mart for that matter and find a crochet starter kit. It will usually come with 1 hook and a starter manual. You may want to grab some yarn to get started as well.

Watermelon Bow
This bow here was out of the clear blue. But that's what made it fun.
I was asked to make 10 bows and to be as creative as I could. And with my limited color range, this is about as creative as I could get.
I tried to think of names for each bow to help me create it but that didn't seem to work. Either I didn't have the colors to really convey the image of the name of the bow or not enough of a certain color. UGH...that sucks! Music usually helps me concentrate on crocheting. But then my beau would stretch out his arm to hand me a cigarette and of course...I would give in. With that, I have to stop and use my hand to smoke...GOSH...it's such a drag. (no pun intended)
Inspiration comes from everywhere. Ideas from other people...pictures...situations...even from a marquee on a bus side...

Flapper Hat? From the 1920's?
I was thinking though, if I should add something, like a flower, to the brim of the hat. Tell me what you think...and could you, as the reader, tell me what you think this hat says?

I'm starting to think...??
Black & White Flapper Hat w/3DFlower
So I did a little research myself and saw that it really does. So my new project is to make some different variations of the UniqlyU Version of a 1920 Flapper Hat. I'm pretty excited about it too, only because I had no clue what I was making. Just goes to show that I do have true inspiration to do this. Just a few more sub skills, as I call them, (sewing w/machine, knitting w/double-sided and circular needles) Until then, I'll just work with a seamstress. :)
Crochet Skully
I was thinking about this one. I want to add a hat to it but then again I don't, I like it basic like this. Like they say, "less is more"...
Wow, it's so basic that I have nothing else to say about it. Not that it's a bad thing either. Who who wants their hats to be loud? LOL...

Making Sure It's Finished
This here is the same bag from the last post, just a little more spruced up. I added a lining and some flowers. Now my sewing skills aren't up to par...AT ALL but I can honestly say that I did a pretty darn good job with this bag.

Well...this is my most recent project and I cannot wait to take these prototypes out for a test run.
There will be more to come. Stay tuned, and stay UniqlyXD

Uniquely designed for me:-)
I can see a set now with a beanie, a scarf or cowl, maybe a shawl or poncho...ohhhh, there are so may things that I could do with this. As for now, I am thinking of adding a matching beanie. Nothing major...I still need to work on the schematics of crocheting a bag like this cause it can't hold up heavy things. Therefore, I will be using this bag strictly for my crocheting tools; extra yarn, needles, scissors, etc. It will also help me with keeping up with current projects.
But sometimes I wonder, how far could I actually go? What can't I crochet? What can I crochet? I want to explore the depths of creating something that can possibly last forever. This is a skill that I couldn't ever forget. And with the unlimited and ongoing need for creative and new fashions, I could never get bored with dressing myself! lol...Stay cool! Stay UniqlyU!
